Family Nurse Practitioner

A Family Nurse Practitioner is a nurse who has moved up to the next level in nursing.  They are primary care providers who work with a physician.  Family Nurse Practitioners have the ability to run their own practice as they can provide health care for individuals for many years.  Often times, a Family Nurse Practitioner will be the patients’ only primary care provider.  These nurses will provide care for routine check-ups, assist in minor surgical procedures, and will diagnose illnesses.
