Labor and Delivery Nurse

A Labor and Delivery Nurse (L&D Nurse) are primarily responsible to bring people in the world.  These nurses care women during labor and childbirth.  L&D Nurses will monitor the baby’s heart rate and mother’s blood pressure, administer treatment to assist with the labor process, assist with complications, and prepare the mother for all phases of their pregnancy.  This is a fast-faced, quick-thinking role.  A Labor and Delivery Nurse will also help educate the patient and their families about what to expect after pregnancy as well.

Education Requirements: ASN, BSN, or RN Diploma
