Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

A Licensed Practical Nurse, also known by the acronym “LPN”, is a nurse whose primary responsibilities are to assist the Registered Nurses (RN) on the floor.  Licensed Practical Nurses will keep medical record and histories, perform CPR, and administer basic care.  LPN’s will also take vital signs and assist in the supervision of the patient.  A Licensed Practical Nurse is a great alternative for individuals who still want to be a nurse, but do not want to be an RN.
